CarnivalDestiny Cruise Review

Age: 63
Occupation: retired
Number of Cruises: 4
Cruise Line: Carnival
Ship: Destiny
Sailing Date: August 29th, 2004
Itinerary: Southern Caribbean

I just finished reading the review submitted for the 8/15/04 cruise. The same minority group must of have booked the 8/29 cruise. My 20 year old son and 15 year old niece wre afraid to go onto the stairwells at night due to the rowdy groups of teenagers hanging out there. There were kids in the jacuzzis with food and they completly took over the pools, we never used a pool the whole trip. There were 10 of us on this trip, 8 with fun passes and it took us over two and a half hours to board the ship, twenty mins less for the two without fun passes. I never saw anyone from security on the ship. People would cut lines at the buffets, the pursers desk etc. When confronted the would say they were joining a member of their group, the group was so large there was a member on every line. When told of this, Richard of the cruise directors staff stated he was not a baby sitter. At disembarkation it took another one and a half hours to clear immigration while the same people were cutting lines and suddenly numerous canes and wheelchairs came out. I will never sail on Carnival again nor would I recommend Carnival to any friends or relatives.
