I am not your usual complainer. I like to find the good and FUN in every situation.

I am not new to cruising. This was my 5th cruise, 2nd with Carnival and will probably be my last with Carnival. Royal Caribbean is so much better.

First, there was a tragic problem with a passenger on the previous voyage which delayed the return to the New York cruise terminal. Due to this problem, we were told to arrive at the cruise terminal between 8 and 9 p.m. for embarkation instead of the scheduled 2:00 p.m. We arrived at 9 p.m. as instructed but were told that we had to wait until the ship was cleared of previous passengers. We did not board the ship until about 2 am. We waited 5 hours and our 8 day cruise turned into a 7 day cruise. They gave us $50 each for our troubles. Still, we put this behind us and decided we were going to have a blast.

Staff: The staff and crew were great people. They made you feel comfortable and welcome.

Food: The Dining room always had the best food. Delicious. Breakfast is best in the dining room, it is too hectic on deck, too crowded.
Room Service is also very good. Midnight buffet (only one) was terrible. We waited inline for 40 minutes and by the time we got in the dining room, there was NOTHING LEFT…pretty funny now, but we were so upset then.

Entertainment: The shows were good. The comedians were really funny. As for other entertainment, there wasn’t much. We found ourselves bored during the day. Pick the later dinner seating. We ate too early and had to kill 2 hours until show time. Bingo was a joke, $20 and lasted 2 minutes, literally.

Ports of Call: Don’t get off the ship in Puerto Rico. Its just not worth it. We didn’t get to go to Tortola because of the delay at embarkation. We went to Turks and Caicos, not bad.

St. Thomas was the absolute best. What a beautiful place. We were only docked there from 7-2 so we booked the champagne catamaran, it was the best excursion I’ve ever been on. So relaxing!

Debarkation: Very quick.

Overall, it was not worth the money. We’ve been on much better cruises. I would steer away from the Legend. Our next cruise will definitely be with Royal Caribbean.
