We traveled on the inaugural cruise with the Liberty it set sail from Rome, it was a terrible cruise, there were over 140 pieces of luggage lost getting to the port. I booked my entire trip through Carnival and had to fly stand by on most of the flights, I got detoured to Paris just to try to make it to the ship. The pool on the ship sprung a leak and flooded the casino and some cabins, not mine fortunately. We did not get our luggage on the ship for 5 days, it was disastrous, carnival as of yet has offered no help or compensation for our lost days on the cruise and for airline issues, my luggage was also lost on the way home from Rome to Florida. This was the worst cruise I have ever taken. It was too long and with no clothes for half the cruise it was miserable, the food was okay not great, the ship was clean and very pretty. The crew was not helpful and seemed to be always frustrated, the pursers desk was terrible with no information available, all the announcements seemed to be about lost luggage. Never again will I take a first time cruise, we arrived at the ship just in time to pull out of port, there were still 25 people missing that I believe got on at the port of Naples. I feel for you if you have booked this med cruise.
