Carnival Miracle Cruise Review

Ship: MIracle
Sailing Date: May 24th, 2004
Itinerary: Bahamas

What can I say that has not already be posted concerning the Miracle. My wife and I celebrated her 50th birthday.

The ship sailed out of Baltimore, Maryland...it just so happens that I live there so embarkation went without a hitch. Faster than even I thought it would be.

I purchased the Birthday Package and the ship did an excellent job and decorating our cabin...and the cake was excellent.

Todd Wittmer our Cruise Director as well as his two assistants, Big Tex, and Karl with a "K" were informative as well as being funny!

I gained 10 pounds eating the delicious food served and I was being good. On acouple of occasions I could not resist ordering two entrees....Filet Migon and Lobster Tails. And if you cannot find something that you like at the Liddo Deck Buffet, it does not exist.

The two shows performed in the Phantom Lounge were excellent. The first one "Generations" is a musical tribute to 20's through 90's styles of music. And the second, a "Tribute to the Beatles". Along with the two Vegas style shows were comedians, magicians, jugglers, and even a hypnotist. All shows had both an early and late seating. But, the midnight "R" rated versions of the smaller acts were funny while not being that racey.

Shore Excursions: Took the Trolley Tour in Key West. The trolleys are not allowed to stop except to stop signs and lights, so you tend to see everything as they pass by. I went on the Swimming with the Stingrays at the Blue Lagoon in Nassau...and I must say that this rates as one of the most exciting things that I have ever done while on a vacation or even in life. It was amazing. My wife did the Blue Lagoon. The Stingray swim portion of the Blue Lagoon excursion lasts about 45 minutes, the rest of the day can be spent enjoying the activities at the Lagoon. I went on the Garden of the Groves/City Tour while in Freeport. Of the 2.5 hour tour we spent 1 hour at the Garden and the rest of the time being dropped off at shopping venues. Some people might like taking the tour, so that they have any opportunity to shop, so please take this as only my opinion.

I have nothing to say bad about the ship or crew. Our cabin steward Romeo did an excellent job of taking care of us as well as our waiter/waitress, George and his wife Julie.

Debarkation was alittle slow due to arriving back in Baltimore. But, my wife and I didn't really want to leave the ship so we enjoyed ourselves eating fruit and having a beverage on the Liddo Deck.

The only bad thing that I have to say about our vacation on the Miracle was that it had to end. We are all ready making plans to sail on her again next year....so, that I can celebrate my 50th birthday.
