We were very happy overall! We were traveling with another couple, 4 adults
total, no children. The initial lines at the airport and the ship were long, but
after we got on the ship there were few lines. The food was really good. All the
service was great. The ship is very clean, and doesn't show much wear. The shows
were good. Ports- Cozumel has a decent free beach with free chairs called San
Francisco beach that is a $12 taxi each way. Grand Caymen has a turtle farm,
Hell, and swim with stingray tour that I thought was fun. Takes about 4 hours,
but is relaxing. In Ocho Rios the Dunns river falls is great. Make sure you
bring your water shoes or good sandals.
Tips- At the captains cocktail party, and at the Carnival past cruisers
party, you can order beer or any other drink you want for free. You don't have
to just suffer through the premixed drinks that they walk around with. After all
the cruises I've been on, I don't know why I didn't figure this out before.
Also, at the end of the cruise, if you want to pay your bill some other way
besides your credit card, make sure you do it before the last night or morning
of the cruise. The line is a solid 30 minutes long.
Overall, this was a super deal. We paid $750 each with all taxes and airfare
from Minneapolis for an outside cabin with a balcony.
