Overall a 7 out of 10. We had portside aft balcony cabin on Deck 7 (7414). This
was 2 levels below Lido Deck and directly below 24/7 pizzeria. Lido Deck used
all day and night for dining. Noise was intolerable, especially when trying to
sleep. After first nite of no sleep, went to pursers to see about cabin change.
Ship was completely booked, so no change possible. We had to purchase ear plugs
to try to muffle noise. They made it barely tolerable. Felt like a zombie after
7 nights with minimal sleep. Food was great, dining staff and cabin steward
terrific. Shore excursions fair. Don't waste time with island tour of Nassau.
Mostly run down areas. St. Maarten island tour a bit better. Beware of hawkers
on St. Maarten. They are a never-ending swarm who don't take no for an answer.
Entertainment was terrific. Cruise director should be stand up comic. Some
casino employees on craps table a bit surly, but most employees on board are
fine. All speak English.
Finally, do not book cabins on Deck 7 or 8 anywhere near portside aft. Deck 7
cabins #7400 through at least 7430 are terribly noisy. If cruising on this ship
again, I would probably opt for deck 6 with balcony.
