I certainly wish I had come here first prior to booking cruise! First of all,
food was very good in Vista Dining room. Service B+. Our waiter George was a
joy, probably most enjoyable of cruise. Now the bad! Where do I begin? First of
all, unless you're from the South, it's doubtful you'll enjoy the entertainment.
Was expecting much more variety. Many Country Songs, Line dancing and Country
Showtime Shows in Astoria long filled this cruise ship. Being from Boston, we
didn't particular care for any of the entertainment.
Also, the majority of passengers were from the South or Midwest. Service was
horrible, with the only exception being the dining room staff. Actually, had one
deck waitress roll her eyes at me! The security staff, as you get on and off
ship at the different ports were extremely rude. Our cabin steward was good and
occasionally said hello. Kept our cabin clean. However, cabins are in desperate
need of updating! Broken tile welcomed us in the bathroom. One of our bedspreads
had a huge rip in it.
Casino okay, if you aren't used to any other casino. ie. Foxwoods, AC or Vegas.
All in all, will definitely cruise again, but will try a different line.
