We left out of Jacksonville, FL on Feb. 25, 2006. The airport transfers set up
by Carnival went well.
The ship was old. It was much smaller than other ships we have been on. Food was
average--I guess better if you like seafood (which my husband and I do not).
This cruise was great if you are on a budget--do not expect luxury. The crowd
was 40+ (with a lot of senior citizens). This didn't bother us because we did
not go to part--we went to relax.
The dining rooms were clean. Like other cruises the best food is at the sit down
restaurants.
Ship was very rocky compared to the other cruises we had been on. I think it is
because it is one of the smallest ships Carnival has. Think after another year,
Carnival should retire Celebration.
Comedy shows were funny. Only went to the rated "R" shows at midnight. Do not go
to these shows if you are offended easily- there is cursing and sexual
undertones. The music was pretty good also. The casino was average, not too good
on slot payouts. Enjoyed the Jaded Monkey penny machine a lot. Husband said
tables were good.
Housekeeping kept our room tidy. Our housekeeper gave us great advise--do not
set your bags out the night before because of the way they unload. If you can
carry them, do so. You can start unloading at 8:00 a.m. and be back to the
airport by 8:45 a.m..
