This was my first time on a Carnival ship. It was the beginning of Spring Break
and you could certainly tell from the number of young children and teenagers.
Next cruise for me will be when school is in session! Where where the parents?
Kids were running everywhere without them. Enough said.
The food was very good, but the desserts seems stale. I am a fish lover and was
not dissappointed. On the first formal night we had lobster tail. Those who love
beef would not be dissapointed either. Filets and prime rib were also good
according to my table mates. The wine selection was more than adequate.
Getting in and out of Galveston is the biggest headache. Be patient! And take a
good book. I must say that all the Carnival employees I encountered were more
than helpful, polite and ready with a smile to assist.
I did not like the way the photographs from the ship's photographer were
displayed though- it was very difficult to find my pictures.
Oh, and girls- if you are single and hoping to meet single men--just go and have
fun--mostly familes and couples on board.
The workout area was great-not too crowded. I never saw anyone in the wet or dry
saunas! I took a kick boxing class that was really fun.
Progresso was a small town-be sure to go and see the local church-it's open air
and very nice. I had lunch across from the beach and shopped in the market.
Everyone was very friendly.
Cozumel was in Spring Break mode. Young people everywhere drinking lots and lots
of alcohol. If you are easiliy offended, beware of Senor Frogs!
I took a taxi tour of Belize and was not disappointed. The driver was so nice
and would stop and let me take pictures anytime. Be sure and see the local
cemetaries.
In all I would book another cruise, just not when I have to content with so many
young children.
