Well, after reading all the reviews of this cruise, I am convinced that there
must be something terribly wrong with me because I will never step foot on a
boat again and all of the reviews are so positive.
The embarkation was smooth. They jump out of nowhere and snap your picture all
along the way. The food was vile. I lost 5 pounds in 4 days. I sustained myself
on coffee. Does anyone else who takes cruises have any difficulty at all with
the constant, sickening pitching and rolling of the ship? I was with a large
group from NY – everyone was ill. There were no storms, everything seemed calm
but we were all motion sick from the time we left Miami. I guess we’re not
cruise-people. I’ve never became motion sick in my life prior to this 4-day
horror. Passengers were walking up to crew asking if this motion is normal.
We never saw our purser or cruise director. All the other reviews give such high
acclaim for these people.
The cabin was actually nice. The water pressure in the shower was, at times,
shockingly cold or shockingly hot. Took quick showers.
We went kayaking in Key West, which is highly recommended. Very educational and
fun. In Cozumel, we went to a beach, which was murky so we stayed at the pool.
Then went shopping which is what you do in Cozumel.
Service was good. Drinks were expensive.
All in all, never doing this again. Terra Firma for the rest of my life. We were
thinking of a Disney cruise with our daughter. That will never happen.
