Just returned from cruise to Key West and Cozumel. We flew into the Miami
airport and took the shuttle that is endorsed by Carnival. My suggestion is to
take a taxi as we were pretty much scared outta our wits on the bus from the
airport to the port! The bus driver was completely nuts and drove as fast and
reckless as he could. Once we arrived alive, we were all thankful. The ship is
kept in great condition. We had some problems with the staff which I think is
due to the fact that their tips are already basically prepaid. Room steward was
okay, dining room waiter was not very talkative but his assistant was very nice.
Pool bar waiters were very attentive and did a great job at keeping the
beverages flowing. Food was not the greatest as it seems as if Carnival is
trying some new dishes (more gourmet). I had to eat a hamburger for lunch for
two days as I couldn't find anything to appeal to me at the Lido buffet. The
lobster and prime rib night were awesome though. Key West was cloudily the day
we arrived so that was a good thing. We had only limited time there...not really
enough to do a whole heck of a lot. My suggestion would be to stay longer (say
until 5pm). Cozumel was beautiful and I would recommend the Catamaran (Fury) as
it was a fun trip. All drinks, snorkel, and private beach are included. The
staff of the Fury is absolutely the best and made our time so fun! Everyone had
a blast! All in all, this ship is good for a four day cruise as Key West and
Cozumel are nice ports to visit.
