This was the most disappointing cruise I have ever been on. We missed the port of Belize and Costa Maya because of weather conditions. However, we went to Belize and were in line to disembark when we were told the weather was too rough. Should they not have known this before we went there and made other arrangements for another port? Instead, we just spent another day on the ship of course spending money on drinks, gambeling, shopping and Bingo. I don't think it cost Carnival anything that we missed the ports as a matter of fact I think they probably made more money than if we had docked. So on a seven day cruise with four ports we saw two. I have been on other cruise lines that if they could not make a port took us to another one but not Carnival.
As for the ship itself, it was not clean and was not kept as well as other ships. The service in the Brassire (casual dining) was the worse I have seen on any cruise ship. They have no trays to carry your food so you have to go back and forth several times in order to get your food, drinks and bread. You can only carry so much without a tray. This particular cruise had many elderly couples and the weather was a little rough at times. I could not believe that the staff did not offer to assist some of the elderly to get their food to the tables. Several times my husband and I assisted because we felt compassion for them. When asking for Tabasco or A1 the staff acted as if we were putting them out. They never smiled or made you feel happy to be onboard. Without a doubt the worse staff I have ever seen on a cruise. The pizza bar was great and the staff was always pleasant and helpful. Our room steward was wonderful. Entertainment was ok some nights and bad on others. All things considered I would not recommend this ship to anyone. Carnival needs to retrain the staff on this ship or else just start over. What a disappointment. This was my 25th wedding anniversary and it was ruined. Don't go on this ship. You will be disappointed. This is not a FUN ship.
