Like Nicole's review, I was also pretty impressed. I was on the Holiday in 1991 to Free Port and Nassau. The boat was clean and the staff was very friendly. We boarded the ship but didn't eat lunch on the boat. We were tired from traveling to Tampa and missed our first formal dinner at 8:30. We ate at the cafe instead. The colors of the inside of the boat are rather dark but still nice. The buffet by the pool is usually not crowded and has the same food as the cafe. We missed all the shows because they were after midnight and we are early sleepers. The soda card was recommended to me but I didn't think it was worth it. It is $55 for unlimited sodas (only glasses not bottles) and we only drank about 4. We drank more of them in the room which it didn't cover. We did the turtle farm tour in Grand Cayman which was nice because we also got to see the city called Hell. More time at the ports would have been nice also. Also, more pool chairs would have been good, the days at sea is nice sun time but you have to get a chair at 0830. Most got them and left towels on them and were not around most of the day. Carnival is a no-frills ship with tons of things to do. Our room was in the back of the ship which wasn't rocky. I get motion sick pretty bad so this was a plus. I thought the big midnight buffet was nightly but it is only one night. There is a buffet every night though, just not the grand one. Other than the pool chairs and the too late shows, I would give it an A-. A very good value!!
