All I can say is thank goodness I survived the "Cruise from Hell". I just got off the Jubilee yesterday. It was the most miserable 5 days ever! We left Galveston sailing toward Cozumel. They announced later that day that we would be going to Vera Cruz instead (which was ok with me as it would still be a tropical vacation). That evening they announced that due to weather conditions we had changed course and would now be going to New Orleans. (that is about as far from a "tropical" vacation as it gets). During the course of 24 hours we had been on the boat, 16 of those hours the boat was rocking so badly it was hard to stand up. Everyone was seasick-even those of us wearing the patches behind our ears. We could barely use the staircases because with every motion of the ship, you were thrown into the walls and rails. My bed actually slid across the roOm with me in it.....and that was on carpeted floors. the shower was a decent size, but when the boat rocked to the right, the water was all hot.....when it rocked to the left, it was all cold. So aside from being tossed about in the shower, you were also scalded and frozen. The pools were filled up on the day we embarked and half the next day.....after that, no water in any of the pools. And the water slide was open for a total of 5 hours on the entire trip. I'm sure there is more to this horror story that I'm leaving out, but you get the idea. Oh, I almost forgot, all the Vegas Style shows were cancelled. I saw the cruise director one time the entire time we were there. Seemed like he was hiding because he knew everyone was unhappy. He kept telling everyone to go have fun in the spas and casino. Funny....we're having the worst cruise ever and he's wanting us to spend more money in the casino and spa? Fat chance! All they would've had to do when the weather didn't cooperate, is turn back to Galveston and let us book another cruise some other time. The New Orleans port was just an attempt to pacify us. I will never sail with carnival again.....they had many options, and chose the one that would save them the most money. Well....they will never see another cent of MY money....EVER!
