This was our 8th and 9th cruise with RCCL doing a back to back Bermuda / Western
Caribbean. We had done back to back cruses before with RCCL and we were treated
royally as they showed us they appreciated our business - alas such was not the
case this time and we were very disappointed in the way RCCL is treating their
loyal customers.
Thing started out from the start badly as they had messed up our dinner seating
with the freinds that we always cruise with - this was corrected but only after
a lot of complaining. Not something we like to do on vacation.
Staff at the Pursers desk seemed to be inexperienced and under trained to handle
any problems that were presented to them.
Oders for items that were to be delivered to rooms were not filled -
instructions were either late or incorrect.
Generally there was the impression given that RCCL was interested only in the
new cruisers and did little to show their appreciation of their loyal customers.
We have always cruised in a group of 6 to 8 people or more - this cruise was
somewhat disappointing - mainly from the administration point of view.
At this point we are seriously thinking about trying RCCL's competition.
There were good things about this cruise - the dining room service and food was
excellent - the cabin was clean and kept well - but the attitude of management
just did not stand up to our previous experiences with RCCL.
