This was a 5 star ship/cruise!
We left Boston Harbor 9/22/05, what a spectacular sunset over Boston’s
skyline!
The ship was beautiful, a jewel for sure. We stayed in cabin 9610, D1
category w/balcony. This was a great room, with a 3 seat sofa too. We
had a nice 10 day stay and felt very comfortable.
The service was superb!. Dining room, windjammer, sea side café, and the
2 specialty restaurants (Chops and Portofino’s) were outstanding.
Lots to do on this ship, 9 hole mini-golf, pool tables (the game room is
simply handsome!) And there’s the solitude of your private deck if you
choose to read or listen to your favorite cd’s while taking in the most
beautiful views of all!
Entertainment: Out of the 8 shows we attended, 4 were excellent!
Comedians were funny, and the solo violinist and guitarist were
exceptional.
Due to weather our 1st stop to Bermuda was cancelled (Bermuda port
authorities could not allow us to dock to due high seas) Naturally we
were disappointed, but this is the chance you take during hurricane
season. The captain added St Thomas to our itinerary, which was fine for
us. Good news came when we were in St Martten and were told that Bermuda
was back on our itinerary due to calmer seas. (So we did get to go which
made many people happy)
This trip was a great relaxing and exciting one, We went with another
couple and they too had a great time. We would sail the Jewel again!
Bon Voyage!
