This was my first cruise so didn't know what to expect. Boarding was very quick and we found our cabin to be as expected, clean and tidy and as the web site described it.

We went for a walk around the ship and we very impressed at everything we saw. We set sail a little late because another ship pushed in but all went smoothly. Our bags were delivered to our room by our cabin attendant who introduced himself and over the next two weeks kept our room as tidy as the first day and anything we wanted he got for us and always managed to have a big grin on his face. The food on board was fantastic, the choices and quality were of a very high standard and the service in the dining room was very good, our two waiters were very attentive and if our kids didn't like there dinner fussy eaters) they would run off and get them something they did like with no fuss.

We all liked most of the entertainment, the onboard dance troupe were good and so to the acts that joined at different ports. One act was more of a kids entertainer but most of the audience, me included, laughed all the way.

If your taking children you will find the kids clubs wonderful, my kids spent as much time as they could in the clubs and had a great time, the staff in the clubs were great and you could be very relaxed knowing your kids were in good hands.

All the time we were on board their were staff cleaning every part of the ship, all the brass was constantly polished and people constantly hovering and picking up any litter. All of the staff were polite and every single member of staff would always say hello or good morning when they saw you.

On a few evenings they would also have parties with fantastic spreads of food either on deck or in the dining room for the chocolate evening, more chocolate than you could imagine including a huge fountain of chocolate that you could take a bowl full of to dip fruit in.

We didn't do any organized trips but got off the ship at every stop and had either a good walk around the town, Monaco was fantastic, or went to the local beach just to sit and relax while the kids were swimming. Getting on and off the ship was easy, all you did was show your sea pass and that was it.

All in all we had a fantastic time and would go again. Their were a lot of kids on board but on the whole, behavior was pretty good. Sun loungers were never a problem, we had to walk round to find one sometimes but never had a problem. People had put towels on them but the deck attendants did take them off again. I think my only real moan for the whole trip apart from putting on weight) was that they ran out of my favorite beer in the first week and didn't get anymore. If your thinking about a cruise I would say go, we had a great time and I'm sure you will.
