Royal Caribbean International Amanda Tranguch My new husband and I just returned from our honeymoon and first cruise. We sailed on the Monarch of the Seas. After reading the many reviews, we did not know what to expect. there were so many good and so many bad reviews. We went in with a open mind, and were pleasantly surprised. I think the people that wrote the bad reviews are miserable to begin with. Everything was wonderful (food especially). The staff was anxious to wait on you. We waited for nothing! The ship was very clean, they were
actually putting in new carpet at the pool while we were there. We stayed in a
inside stateroom on the 5th floor. Yes, the room was small, but we unpacked
right away and put our suitcases under the bed, and we had plenty of space for
the time we spent in the room. We never saw our stateroom attendant, but every
time we came back to the room, it was clean. There were alwyas fresh
towels and a towel animal. The ports of call were nice. Catalina
island was our favorite, we went snorkeling while there. Our guide was great and
he really showed us some neat things. Our favorite excursion was in our least
favorite port of Mexico. We went kayaking to the La Bufadora, which was awesome.
The shops there on the other hand were not that appealing to us, although we did
buy a nice piece of pottery there. It was very high pressure and if you are not
in to this sort of thing, you should stay on the ship that day. Ask a Question About Royal Caribbean Cruises
