Itinerary: Bermuda

It was fantastic. We had read so many reviews about the ship being too old too small and too outdated--we discovered that none of it was true. The ship was spotless, the size was just right and the service was first class.

We also were concerned that the crew would not like a 3 yr old at the late seating--but they were all just fabulous.  From the crew at the brunch who all acted like long lost aunts and uncles to the kid "staff"  who just loved the little ones. Never once were we made to feel that children were not welcome.

The cruise out of NY city was just breath taking. Going under the Narrows bridge and past the statue of Liberty is worth the trip but once you are under way you don't even know you are on the sea.  There were soo many activiities that you did not know what to do next -- from the Las Vegas reviews to the comedians and the solo singers the shows were first class.  Even the bingo was fun. (Hint--it appeared as if the majority of the winners had purchased the "large economy class"  amount of cards and not the single cards like we did.)

The service in the dining room was the best.  (And we have been critics to many dining establishments) We could not have found anything incorrect with the attitude, ability and performance each and every night.  The food was fabulous.  Only one night would I reccomend not having the NY strip steak--but if  I had just gotten the filet all would have been perfect.  An example of the service--they served an italian dressing that I just loved--the next night I asked for it again.  The waiter told me that they made the evenings dressings fresh each night but he would put in a request for the next night.  It was not only there the next night but every night thereafter.  The midnight buffet looked nice but stick to the deserts --and don't forget there are TWO lines for the buffet.

The onboard outside activities were fun, from the sexy legs competition to the putting contest we had a blast.

Oh yes, Bermuda was nice and we would go again but only on the NORDIC EMPRESS.  Anyone worried about the ship, service or facillities should relax and worry about something you can't predic-- like the weather.  Have fun and say hi to Dan the party man.
