Cruise Line: Royal Caribbean
Ship: Serenade of the Seas
Sailing Date: January 31st, 2004
Itinerary:

Royal Caribbean gets a thumbs down. I have been on several cruises and this one was very disappointing.

The food at the Windjammers was horrible. We went with a group of 12 and none of us liked the food.

The main dining room was good, not great. Service was good, not great.

The entertainment was boring, several people we were walking out of the shows early. It was like they got the cheapest entertainment they could find.

The kids program is a joke. I have two small children ages 6 and 3. They have a small staff and did they not interact with the kids. They were often sitting talking with each other. My kids did enjoy playing with the other children on board.

Adult activities were poorly managed. They scheduled a ping pong tournament and no staff from Royal Caribbean showed up. We had to call and they finally sent someone. This happen twice both with the means and women's tournament. When the staff showed up he said he was the only one working. It was almost like we were bothering him.

The ship is beautiful and the islands are a great place to visit. I think you could find a better cruise line to sail with.
