I have mixed feelings about my cruise. The ship was such a disappointment. The ship was beautiful, the entertainment very good but the crew were not friendly of helpful and the food was really bad. They did not have enough announcements about the activities but seemed to have plenty about the shopping and photo auctions. They never announced when we were in the area where all the whales were but thank goodness our stateroom attendant was told us. He was one of the few pleasant ones. They never had Alaskan king crab and the lobster was tiny and they didn't want to give you more then one lobster (the waiter on Princess cruise kept bringing them to us). Hubbard Glacier was so beautiful and the ports of Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan were great. We did the whale watching/mendenhall glacier tour on Juneau. We were guaranteed to see a whale which we saw at least 4. We didn't have enough time at the glacier but I still liked the tour. In Skagway we did the white pass railway and trail camp tour. The railway was great but the tail camp was not. We did the totem pole museum in Ketchikan for $5.00. It took all of 10 minutes to go throug the two rooms, but the walk to it took you pass the salmon, which was cool. The bottom line is the Alaska cruise would be great but do it on another cruise line.
