In 1988 our three sons sent my wife and me on our first cruise as a 25'th Anniversary gift. The cruise was on Sovereign of the Seas and it was wonderful. As a Christmas gift we booked a family cruise on the same ship for ourselves, our three sons, a daughter in law and four grandchildren. We booked the trip for June 6 when the children would be out of school. The ages for 10 of us ranged from 5 to 63.
The cruise was an experience of a lifetime for us all.

The staterooms, service, meals and ship were way above expectations. We had three adjacent cabins on deck 9 aft. It was the grandkids first cruise and their eyes were like saucers the whole time. The adults had all cruised before and were likewise pleased with the ship and service.

I did read another review commenting on the wandering drink sellers being a little bothersome. I agree. If people want drinks they know how to order without continually being asked.

This small comment aside I must compliment the Sovereign for a job well done. I am considering a repeat family cruise for next year as I don't see how the vacation experience could be topped for the money paid.
