My husband, myself (40 & 45 yrs old) and 10 year old daughter took a 7 day Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Voyager of the Seas, Royal Caribbean at the end of February 2006. The cruise started in Miami and the ports were Nassau, St Thomas, San Juan and Labadee Haiti. We absolutely had the time of our lives... The boat is huge and holds over 3500 people but you would have never known it. We never had to wait in any lines for food or activities. We played quite a bit of mini golf and shuffle board. But it was pretty windy on the decks so we didn't do much swimming on the ship. They did have an indoor pool, but we never used it. We went to all the shows including the ice show which was out of this world!! For our accommodations we chose the Superior Balcony cabin in the rear of the ship on the 10th floor, it was awesome. We had a queen size bed with a double pull out sofa, plenty of room for us. (I will never get an inside cabin again after experiencing this) We were surprised to see that our balcony was huge!!! We had a nice size round table with 3 chairs, and we also had 2 full size lounge chairs and 1 small table. We had room service deliver our breakfast every morning and ate out on the balcony every single day!!! Absolutely wonderful!!!!! When we pulled out of every port we went straight to our cabin to enjoy a cocktail and enjoy the last glimpse of the beautiful ports. With being in the rear of the ship we got great unobstructed pictures and video.

Miami and Nassau, the weather was pretty chilly but as we went further South into the Caribbean it was gorgeous and in the 80's. We enjoyed all of the ports. In Nassau we took taxi to Atlantis resort for about $6.00 each way. You can see quite a bit of the aquarium without even paying to go in. (if you have seen one aquarium, you have seen them all) The grounds were nice but if you didn't pay for the complete the tour and many of the areas were off limits. We were in Nassau on a Sunday so many of the shops were closed. (but we didn't mind, we had plenty of other chances to shop) In St. Thomas we booked the side trip called the Ultimate Island Experience, it was great. You take safari trucks around the mountains and we even stopped and swam an Magens Bay for 3 hrs. (one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen) In San Juan we didn't book a tour. We went off on our own and wondered right into Old San Juan. (maybe about 15 blocks from port) If you want great prices on liquor, this is the place to buy it!! Our favorite stop was Labadee. This is Royal Caribbean's own island. The waters of Haiti were beautiful, and clear. My daughter played in the water park ($15.00) water trampolines etc... I never wanted to leave that place. They have a great Art Market there and they actually had pretty good prices.

The buffet selection for both lunch and dinner every day was pretty good with many different choices. (breakfast room service excellent) They had fresh baked cookies everywhere (no charge) But I was a little disappointed in the food in the main restaurant. It was just good, nothing to write home about. I took a Carnival cruise two years ago and their dinners were much better and of higher quality. The service was impeccable everywhere on board, we were very pleased with this. This was one of our best vacations we ever had and would  recommend this cruise , cruise line and ship.
